Driving down Opeongo Lake Road in early December I noticed a lot of saplings that had been cut down by beavers, and areas of snow packed down where they were climbing up the bank to cross the road and dragging the small trees back to the creek. I waited near one of the crossing spots until a beaver crossed the road and climbed the slope to get to some saplings. I got several shots as it dragged some saplings through the snow and across the road to the creek. I liked this shot just before it got to the road as it was in a small opening at the edge of the bush.
