Aerobic Stretch

While canoeing in Lake Opeongo I came upon this loon in the shallow water near shore. After spending a fair amount of time getting near the loon it did some wing stretches. The reflection in the still water and the out of focus green background make this image pop.

Alert Deer

I often go to Iroquoia Conservation Area to photograph birds and deer. The deer often go into the back yards of homes surrounding the area to feed on shrubs and grass. This big buck carefully watches me as I grab a few pictures of him.

Tasty Leaves

I often go to Iroquoia Conservation Area to photograph birds and deer. The deer often go into the back yards of homes surrounding the area to feed on shrubs and grass. These two were so busy feeding they hardly noticed me.

Blue Beauty

I frequently go to Iroquoia Conservation Area in May and June to photograph birds, including the indigo buntings that nest there. In the morning is the best time to find them as the males are quite vocal.

Pass It To Me

In July there are a lot of swallows and purple martins flying around capturing insects to feed to feed their fledged young at Long Point on Lake Erie. I stood on a viewing platform that had some young purple martins perched in a tree waiting for the parents to feed them with mostly dragonflies. I loved the almost mirror image of wing positions as mom shoves a dragonfly into juniors open mouth.
