The winter season was fast approaching and the Dufferin Marsh in Schomberg has started freezing. Many muskrat lodges were visible, and the muskrats were out and about swimming in the frigid December weather storing food and reinforcing their lodges for the winter. This muskrat took a small break from the tiring construction work to enjoy its favourite cattail snack.
