I was able to get close to a family of beavers over a couple of weeks as they prepared for Winter. As temperatures started to drop, the family became more active during daylight hours in the gathering of their winter food source. I would find the paths made between the river and the tree line, then lie down quietly in the snow, which allowed me to get some close up, eye level shots of the beavers at work
