The Heron and the hibernating frog

This Great Blue Heron stuck around my local area when the other herons flew South for the Winter. When the snow arrived and the temperatures dropped, the heron would spend its days in pockets of open water, hunting for hibernating frogs, which the heron would locate, pull up from under the mud, shake and wash clean in the icy water before swallowing them.
