The Heron that forgot to fly South

This Heron was one of a pair that had spent the Summer here, as Winter approached one of the Herons flew South but this one decided to stick around. As the temperatures dropped and the snow arrived, I'd watch this Heron every day, walking through snow, looking for spots of open water, where it would spend the day hunting frogs that were hibernating beneath the mud.
