Peacock photos all seem to focus on the brilliant display of feathers, but I wanted to show the missing aspect of the display - the movement. By bracing the camera and using a longer exposure, I’m hoping to show the incredible vibration of the feathers that they do to get a mate’s attention. Their head/neck/body stays somewhat still, while the impressive feathers shake at about 26 times per second in their train-rattling display.
