In August of 2019 I came across a family of loons on Muriel Lake in Killarney Provincial Park. The chicks were already displaying much of their adult plumage and therefore had lost much of their 'cute' factor. This past summer year I planned my trip a bit earlier and was thrilled to find mom with two chicks riding comfortably onboard.
