I knew that there were Possums living in the wooded trails at the end of the garden, I'd seen them scurrying away in the dark but this was the first time I'd ever come across one during the daytime. I was at the bottom of the garden about midday and was surprised to see this old possum sitting on a tree stump having a scratch. He gave me a quick glance, stretched his paws and walked off slowly into the woodland.
