This was amazing seeing this Algonquin Wolf hunting Beaver on the early winter ice! I followed her progression around the lake with my binoculars hoping she would go up on the rock! She did and surveyed the lake. I love close up images, but capturing animals in their environment tells a nice story. She didn't catch her prey on this occasion, but it sure was an amazing experience seeing her actively hunting!! I couldn't believe how fast she circled the lake, even though she wasn't running!
