Passing By

I was sitting on a bench on a trail with a friend. We had seen Wolf tracks along the way, but were surprised to see two Algonquin Wolves come out of the trail ahead. There was water on both sides of us, so we stayed put. They were nervous of us, but quickly ran by us to get to the other side of the trail! I got this shot as she made her approach. It was a pretty amazing moment. Unfortunately, I found out later that the other wolf had been being baited in a parking lot of another trail. It never ceases to amaze me how thoughtless some people are. The Wolf could be killed for such selfish behaviour. A fed animal is a dead animal. Luckily the Wolf in question never approached us for food.
