A Lifer and a moment I will never forget. A late summer trip into prime Great Grey (Strix nebulosa) habitat proved to be well worth the effort. This image shows how well adapted they are to their environment. So much so that this was the only moment we had to observe, admire and move on, leaving it to it's morning hunting (NIKKOR 200-500mm f5.6) 500mm 1/30 sec ISO 200
